Who can make a referral?

A participant can contact us directly. Referrals may also come from a family member, nominee, support coordinator, plan manager, health professional or another authorised person. The participant's consent or other lawful authority must be confirmed before sensitive information is shared or services begin.

If IDIM Care may be suitable, we explain the proposed service, costs and next steps before asking anyone to enter a service agreement.

Support begins only after suitability, consent, funding, availability, risks and service arrangements have been confirmed. Some services can start sooner than others. We will provide an honest timeframe after reviewing the referral.

Which areas does IDIM Care service?

What types of NDIS plan management can IDIM Care accept?

Can I choose or change my support worker?

We aim to provide support that respects each participant's culture, identity, language, family, kinship and community connections. Cultural safety is defined by the person receiving support, so we ask rather than assume. We will explain honestly which preferences we can meet with our available workforce.

Tell us about language, communication or accessibility requirements during the first conversation. We can discuss interpreter options, Easy Read information, involvement of a trusted communication partner and other reasonable communication adjustments. Do you support participants with complex needs or behaviours of concern?

We assess each request individually against the participant's needs, our registration, staff skills, current capacity and safeguarding requirements. We will not accept a referral unless we believe we can provide safe and suitable support. Specialist behaviour support and restrictive practices require specific authorisation and safeguards, and we do not offer them unless formally approved to do so.

How are workers screened?

IDIM Care confirms the screening, identity, right-to-work, qualification and training requirements relevant to each role. Where legally required, this includes NDIS Worker Screening and Working with Children checks. Ask us which checks and competencies apply to the worker and service being proposed.

How much do services cost?

Prices depend on the service, time, location, staffing requirements and current NDIS pricing rules. We explain proposed rates and any travel, cancellation or other charges before support begins and include agreed costs in the service agreement. No charge should be unexpected.

What is included in a service agreement?

A service agreement should explain the support to be delivered, responsibilities, prices, schedules, cancellations, privacy, feedback, incidents, changes and how either party can end the arrangement. Ask questions and request accessible information before agreeing.
